HARRIS TEETER SUPER DOUBLES!!!! See how I did...

If you have a Harris Teeter in your area I strongly encourage you to try them out this week because they are having their super doubles promotion from today Aug 10 until Tuesday Aug 16... I have two households so I have two cards and was able to do the majority of my shopping in one day. But remember Harris Teeter doubles 20 coupons (3 coupons on like items) per card per day. If you have coupons for items that say "do not double" or have items that are a great price with the face value of the coupon give these to the cashier after your 20 doubling coupons to make sure only your correct coupons double and you get all your savings. Anywho let's see how I did...

This is the product of both my shopping trips... My before coupons total was $134.84 and my OOP was $30.35 a total of 77% savings... Not bad huh.. Let's break it down...

6 Betty Crocker brownie mixes (even though this coupon wasn't over $1 it was still a deal and I wanted to get them before they were sold out.. my family LOVES brownies so I stock up.). Original price is $2.75 and they are on sale this week for $2. Not great but paired with my $.75 off 2 coupon that doubled to $1.50 off 2 boxes of brownies. I paid $1.25 a box or $7.50 for all 6 boxes. Not great but still not bad.

3 - 3 packs of Dial bar soap. This is the hypoallergenic version of the dial soap so it's without scents and dyes but just as good. The Soap is originally $2.39 but is on sale for B1G1 so each soap pack rings up at half price which is $1.19. I paired this with a coupon for $.35 off each package bringing the price per package down to $.49 .. This is the price I usually pay for soap. Most coupons are for Ivory so it's nice to get something other than that. My total OOP for the 3 packages of soap was $1.49.. Great!!

2 White House apple juices. If you keep up with my blog you know my hubby Loves Loves Loves apple juice. They are normally $3.39 and were on sale $2.39. Not the best price but gas prices to go to Walmart would have cost me more so it was OK. My total OOP for the apple juice was $4.78.

2 Always 50 packs of pantyliners. This is something I stock up on every time super doubles comes around and it usually lasts me until the next time the promotion is happening. They are usually $3.69 but are on sale for $2.99. I paired this with a coupon for $1 off each package that doubled to $2(remember only during the super doubles event do coupons with a face value of up to $1.98 double.. Usually Harris Teeter only doubles coupons with a face value of up to $.99) making each package of liners $.99. That is a great price for this product. I only had 2 coupons so I only purchased 2 but next time I will order more coupons for this item from a clipping service (for more info on clipping services and what they do go to www.thecouponclippers.com). To make this deal even sweeter I had an ecoupon loaded to my loyalty card for $1 off one always product making one of my packages of always FREE!!! My total OOP for two packages of liners was $1.00.

2 Degree Men's PREMIUM deodorants. These are originally $4.59 and were on sale for $3.00 each. I paired this sale with a coupon for $1 off that doubled to $2 off each item making them $1 each. This is a great price for the premium deodorants. I usually only pay $.50 for regular deodorants. I stocked up on both men's and women's deodorants last event but I give these away a lot so I will continue to get a couple every time super doubles happens. My total OOP for the two deodorants was $2.00 not bad.

4 Oral B cavity defense toothbrushes. I have been getting a lot of toothbrushes lately and will start giving them away soon but some prices you can't beat. They are originally $1.99 and on sale for $.99 each. I had a coupon for $.75 off 2 taking the price down to $.24 each.. I'm sorry you can't beat that price. I paid $.96 OOP for 4 toothbrushes.

2 - 16 count Lipton tea bags. I am a hard core tea drinker so I am always getting this deal. The 16 count packs are $1.35 normal price. I used my $.40 off coupon that doubled to $.80 off making each pack $.55. My total OOP for the 2 packs was $1.10.

1 Vaseline lotion. This item is priced normally at $3.99 and I paired a $1.50 off coupon that doubled to $3 making the lotion $.99. I wish I had more of these coupons as well but next time I will make sure I order some high value coupons before the event.

2 Bayer low dose chewable aspirins. These are normally priced at $2.99 and I paired a coupon for $1.50 off that doubled to $3 off making them FREE!!! Harris Teeter does not give overage so the coupon was automatically rounded down to $2.99.

1 - 6.65 lb package of chicken leg quarters. I buy these and cut them up and they make about 2-3 meals for my family. These are on sale for $.49 a pound this week so please please please if you have the freezer space stock up. I paid OOP 3.26 for my package.

2 - 3 lb bags of onions. I cook just about everything with onions so I like to have them handy. They were $2.47 each so I paid $4.94 OOP for the two packs.

1 Natures Own honey wheat bread loaf. It is originally $2.89 but was on sale for $2.29. It's something we always need and again it's nice when it is on sale.

1 Vaseline petroleum jelly. This is something that is always good to have in your home and it lasts a really long time. It wasn't on sale, it was priced at $2.99. I paired my $1.50 off coupon with this that doubled to $3 making it totally FREE!!!!

1 Motts apple juice. I usually don't buy this item because they can be a little pricey but I received coupons in the mail from the company so why not. The apple juice is originally priced at $3.29 but was on sale for $2.99. My $1 off coupon doubled making the apple juice $.99.. not bad..

3 Betty Crocker cookie mixes. These packages of cookie mix are huge and boast the fact that each pack makes 3 dozen 2 inch cookies. They are originally $2.69 but on sale for $1.79 this week. I used a $.40 off coupon that doubled to $.80 making each package $.99. Not bad for 3 dozen cookies.. My total OOP for the cookie mix was $2.97.

3 Dove candy bars.. These are no normal kit kat or snickers these are big 10 square 3oz candy bars. They are $1.99 and I paired a coupon for $1 off that doubled making them completely FREE!!!!

3 packages of Old El Paso Tortilla Stuffers. Now my hubby takes a turkey sandwich to work almost every day and it is getting kinda boring. So we are trying out this item as maybe an option to break things up. He can pop it in a microwave and eat it with bread or an actual tortilla. It is full of rice beans and meat so we will see how it goes. They are originally $3.69 but were on sale for $2.50. I used a $1 off coupon that doubled making each package $.50. My total OOP for all 3 packages was $1.50.

3 Method dish detergents. This item is originally $3.99 but was on sale for $1.99. I used a $1 off coupon that doubled making these guess what FREE!!!

1 Tropicana Orange juice. I just love orange juice but it is usually so expensive that I pass on it. They are normally $4.29 but on sale for $3.79. I used a $1 off coupon that doubled making the orange juice $1.79 a price I am more comfortable paying..

Along with all the coupons for specific items that I used I had a $10 off a $50 purchase or more coupon. I received this coupon from recycle bank. If you are unfamiliar with this site go to www.recyclebank.com to learn more. You simply pledge to do better in your everyday life and earn points redeemable in various areas. Me; I always get a $10 off coupon to Harris Teeter. I also received a $1 off my next purchase catalina ( catalinas are coupons that print at the register when you purchase certain items. There are lists of catalinas available at any particular time but sometimes you are surprised with one as I was today.. Thanks Degree!) that I used on my second order.

Well that is all I purchased at Harris Teeter so far. I will be going back probably Tuesday to pick up a few more items. I want to give others a shot especially since I have 2 households and do 2 days worth of shopping in one day.

If you are planning on going to Harris Teeter this week I encourage you to go early in the week. I got to my local store at 6:30 this morning (since Harris Teeter is a 24 hr store they cut over their sales day at 7am) and the store was packed with people whose carts were already full. This is a big event and if you don't take advantage of it early you will miss out on great savings..

Well as always... Happy Couponing
