Hey everyone I just wanted to post my deal breakdown for my Sunday shopping... Here is what I got

Quick Walgreens Haul 8/22

Today I happened to be near a Walgreens and decided to go in and pick up a few more things. I wanted to get some of the snacks on sale since my son needs a snack for school daily and in efforts to stock up on body wash another Dial. This is what I got today:

Hauls week of 8/21

Hi guys... It has been a little hectic in my world this week so please forgive the missed week of deal breakdowns. I was going to pull out receipts and make a post but I decided against it.. Anywho this week was a pretty good week. I had a small uh oh that messed up a transaction at Walgreens but every haul is a learning experience so I am not mad.. I went to CVS, Walgreen and did a little at Walmart.. CVS Haul 8/15/11

This week was a very good week at CVS for me. Of all the drug stores CVS is by far my favorite. I want to start off my saying that I do have 2 cards. I shop exclusively for 2 households so some deals that are available I do twice even if the limit is one per card... OK let's see what I got..

In CVS's effort to get everyone to use their magic coupon machines they guaranteed that everyone would receive a free item this week. When I scanned my card this is what came out

I was able to get a free Hershey's caramello bar and a free pack of CVS brand bandaids.. sounded good to me..

10 Gatorade G5 products. The promotion is if you purchase $5 worth of these items you get a 5 ECB (extra care buck). The standard drinks are priced at 1 each so buy 5 of those and get your money right back. I didn't find this product until I went to my 3rd CVS. The previous 2 said they had not came out yet and they were not getting a shipment until Friday. When I went to the third store I was looking for my free bandaides when I stumbled across them.. **happy me** ..

2 Air Wick freshmatic starter kits. They are on sale this week for 6.99 and there are 4 off coupons out... I was able to get both systems for 2.99 each and use only one of my 5 ECB making my OOP 1.98 for the two and that is including .98 in tax. GREAT DEAL

I did the gas card deal this week. When it has food that I actually use involved I try to purchase it. I bought 6 starbucks frap drinks, 4 boxes of cheeseits. 2 beef jerky packs (love love love jerky) and 2 special k crackers...

I walked out of CVS paying 44.16 for 124.66 worth of products.. a savings of 80.50 or 64%... I also walked out with a 10 shell gas card and 5 ECB... Great week all around... Well that is all for me today. Happy Couponing..

Walgreens Haul 8/15/11

This was a great week for me at Walgreens. I went a couple times during the week and picked up a few items. I plan on going back to Walgreens saturday for their Saturdate promotion on the dove. They are 4/$15 and you will recieve a 5 Register Reward for your purchase. There are some great coupons out to pair with this sale such as **buy 1 her's deodorant get his free** .. **buy one shampoo/conditioner get a treatment free** and ** 1 off dove men's body wash** ... You can get the register rewards before saturday but I think on satruday only more dove items will be available for the promotion. Today I only saw the shampoo and treatment as being in the deal. So we will see...

Today I made my third and last trip to Harris Teeter to get their super doubles promotion. .. This was honestly not my best haul but I wanted to stock up on some items before school starts next week. I purchased things that may not have been at their rock bottom prices. Also some things like the chef boyardee and snack pack puddings I never see go below $1 each so I stocked up on them. I do not have a picture of my haul this week (sorry) . I was so wrapped up in trying to complete my video on it before the baby woke up that I forgot to snap a picture for my followers... HARRIS TEETHER SUPPER DOUBLES!!!! see how I did Part 2

I was originally going to only go to Harris Teeter once more and that was going to be on Tuesday but in going through all of my coupons there are such great deals going on this week that I needed to go today as well. This is what I got today

My total before coupons and sales was $54.69 and I paid $9.47 OOP... A total savings of $45.22 or 83%..

If you have a Harris Teeter in your area I strongly encourage you to try them out this week because they are having their super doubles promotion from today Aug 10 until Tuesday Aug 16... I have two households so I have two cards and was able to do the majority of my shopping in one day. But remember Harris Teeter doubles 20 coupons (3 coupons on like items) per card per day. If you have coupons for items that say "do not double" or have items that are a great price with the face value of the coupon give these to the cashier after your 20 doubling coupons to make sure only your correct coupons double and you get all your savings. Anywho let's see how I did...

I think anyone who coupons loves loves loves their stockpile at least I do. I am very proud of being able to supply needed items to my family at a fraction of the cost. Living in a house where I am the only female we go through a lot of food and drinks and cleaning products and I do not have to worry about running out of an item or breaking the bank taking care of my home. I also shop with my extended family in mind, I love to be a help in any way possible especially for those who have been there for us.. Anywho.. This is just pics that I took of my current stockpile. I do have a You Tube video to put up explaining everything and going more in dept. My Internet is acting crazy here lately so it will not be up for maybe a week or so but be on the lookout for that. I will try to at least post pics of my current stockpile monthly so you can see how it is fluctuating as we use products and purchase more items... well.. as always Happy Couponing...

What's in my mailbox 8/7/11

This week I received a couple of samples in the mail.. Nothing extraordinary but with each sample comes a coupon so I am always happy about that. This week I received a sample of Honey Nut Cheerios my hubby like this cereal and even though it is not enough to satisfy his hunger it makes for a good healthy snack. With the cereal came a $.75 off coupon. Not to shabby since I already know Harris Teeter will double this coupon to $1.50. I also received a sample of Garnier moisturizer. I usually don't try these samples they are really small and I am only interested in the coupon. But my skin has not been the same since I had my son so I tried the sample and loved it. So I will be on the lookout for Garnier moisturizers to go on sale so I can really get a feel of the product. Below are pic...

HARRIS TEETER SUPER DOUBLES!!!!

Starting to coupon is always a drastic jump... You have to close your eyes and leap into it, expect to learn something new with each shopping trip and eventually saving money will become second nature. It is always a great time to start couponing but if you have a Harris Teeter in your area it's even nicer this week.

Harris Teeter doubles coupons every day; all coupons up to $.99 are doubled. There are restrictions to how many like coupons you can use and how many coupons as a whole are doubled PER DAY so overall Harris Teeter is a great place to shop. They are pricey but have great sales to counter their regular prices. Anywho... This week coming (Aug 10- 16) is their super doubles event. I have been couponing for about 4 months and this is the second time this event has rolled around since I started so it's about every couple months that they do this.

What is super doubles and why is it so special?
During super doubles Harris Teeter will double any coupon that has a value of $1.98 or less.... So your coupon for $1.50 off an item will double to $3 off!!! Crazy huh! This event helps make a lot of their items free or pennies and allows you to stock up on items that you wouldn't be able to normally.

 Even if this Sunday is your first week getting newspapers their are a lot of coupons in this weeks paper and it would help you get a great start on your couponing. There are also awesome databases online that allow you to print coupons. I definitely encourage anyone who wants to give this a try to start small and work their way up, even if that means going back to the store multiple times in one week. Create a shopping list and stick to it. There are websites that match circulars with coupons available ( I use http://www.southernsavers.com/ a lot)  and even links printable coupons to their post. They do all the work for you all you have to do it figure out what you need, gather your coupons and make your list. Remember at Harris Teeter you do need to get their loyalty card and sign up for their evic program this allows you to load evic coupons on your card that automatically come off when your card is scanned. I do browse the blog posts on what is on sale and what is good to buy on any particular week but I go to the website http://www.harristeeter.com/ and search for items I have coupons for individually as well (harris teeter has an online store called the express lane that allows you to pick your store and search their items with updated pricing). Each person's coupons binder is unique and there are so many different coupons out there that I end up finding deals that are not posted but I have coupons for. It is a little more work but I don't mind the extra hassle if it means getting something for free that was not posted.

I hope everyone has a great couponing week and look out for my hauls later in the week... I did not do any drugstore hauls this week. There just wasn't anything I was interested in on sale. I did use my $8 in Register Rewards from Walgreens to purchase 3 newspapers, a jug of water, and a fitness magazine for the hubby (he actually went to the store on his work break today that is why this was such a straight forward purchase). Well happy couponing...

Weekly Harris Teeter Shopping Trip

Wednesday I did my weekly shopping trip at Harris Teeter and did pretty good. I purchased a lot of things my family uses on a daily basis. I did stop at Walgreens to pick up a few more things with my Register Rewards that I have but everything on my list was sold out. I don't know how Walgreens product ordering works but I would think that managers would order more than a couple items that are on sale for the week.. Maybe it's just me... Anywho here is what I got from Harris Teeter
