How do I use coupons

This may seem like a simple question but there is actually a science to couponing.. You have to match manufacturers coupons to store promotions and sales. This way you get groceries at rock bottom prices.. I do not pay for soap, body wash, razors, tooth brushes, dish washing liquid and the list goes on... How do you do that.. Very simple

For instance.. A store is having a B1G1 free sale on soup... The regular price is 1.99 well with the sale each soup will ring up half price so each will ring .99 savings in itself... I have a 1.00 off coupon.. you know what that soup is free... simple right

Each week every grocery store sends out weekly sales. You simply match the coupons you have to the sale and wala savings (there are many websites that do this for you.. google your store+couponing)... Some things like fresh produce barely have coupons but they do have sale cycles like everything else.. simply stock up when they are on sale..

In the beginning you will still be spending a lot out of pocket because you will not have a lot of coupons to choose from and you still have to feed your family. But as time goes by you will see your out of pocket decrease and your savings increase.. When you are just starting out only pick a few things to buy and go buy them just so you can see the actual savings. If you are getting normal groceries and have two coupons for free items you will overlook the savings because your normal grocery bill overshadowed it... take it slow.. eventually it will become second nature.

Coupon Lingo
most coupons say one item per purchase.. this simply means you can only use one coupon per item.. so if you have 2 Lysol Sprays you can only use 2 manufacturers coupons; one per item. Do not get this confused with stacking...

what is stacking
Stacking is using both a manufacturers coupon and a store coupon on one item. How is that possible? Stores put out coupons to ensure people choose their facility to buy products and not go elsewhere. So you can look at store coupons like a store sale.. If a store creates coupons then you can use 1manufacturers coupon and 1store coupon for the same item... So again Lysol Spray is on sale for 1.99 you have a 1.00 off manu coupon and 1.00 off store coupon... Guess what the Lysol is free. Always before couponing check your store's couponing policy on their website (it's also great to print it out and keep it in your binder) so you will not have any issues at checkout...
