Hauls week of 8/21

Hi guys... It has been a little hectic in my world this week so please forgive the missed week of deal breakdowns. I was going to pull out receipts and make a post but I decided against it.. Anywho this week was a pretty good week. I had a small uh oh that messed up a transaction at Walgreens but every haul is a learning experience so I am not mad.. I went to CVS, Walgreen and did a little at Walmart.. If you want to see my last weeks haul or any of my previous hauls check me out on you tube (user name smilesnee) .. Anywho let's see what I got

Walmart:
At Walmart I purchased a lot of miscellaneous items that I needed for my home such as bread, milk and eggs. But I did want to share these deals with you.

1 UP2U gum by mentos. They are priced at 1.28 I used a 1 off coupon bringing the OOP to .28. There are more coupons out for this type of gum but they are now 1 off 2 packages. Not really the best deal on gum so I probably will not get anymore unless they go on sale.

2 Caress bar soaps and 2 Satin Care shave gels. This was a fun coupon. When you purchase a caress body bar or body wash you get a free satin care shave gel. There were no size restrictions on this coupon so I was able to purchase a travel size (1 bar) caress for 1.97 and get a free full size shave gel up to 4.99. To even sweeten the deal I had a 5 gift card from walmart for participating in the all you magazine kool aid rebate (this rebate was very recent so try a google search to get more info and you may be able to still participate). So my OOP was 0.00 for the soap and the shave gels...

Walgreens:
I left walgreens a little upset until I got home and realised I was the one in error.. I am gonna walk through each my transactions below, I walked into Walgreens with a 5 Register Reward...

T1: 1 Gillette Fusion ProGlide pack (included razor, shave gel, lotion, and face scrub) on sale for 9.99, 1 Penway folder (filler) .17 . I used my 5 register reward that I came in with and a 4 off any gillette proglide coupon bringing my OOP to 1.87 after tax. Then I received a 4 register reward for purchasing the Gillette.

T2: 1 Airwick freshmatic kit on sale for 7.99 and 1 folder .17 on sale. I used my 4 register reward from the Gillette deal and a 4 off any airwick freshmatic kit coupon. Bringing my total after tax to .73. I received a 3 register reward for purchasing the airwick

T3: 1 Dial body wash on sale for 3.99. I did not need a filler for this transaction because I only used my 3 register reward. There are coupons out for dial body wash but they are for 2 bottles and the register reward promotion only needs one body wash to work. It is cheaper to not use the coupon. My total OOP after the register reward was 1.27 and I received another 3 register reward.

Things were going smoothly until T5

T5: 1 Colgate 360 toothbrush priced at 4.99, and 1 folder. I used my 1 off any Colgate 360 toothbrush coupon and my 3 register reward from the dial. No register reward was produced ... We voided the entire transaction, I grabbed another toothbrush still no register reward. Of course the manager tried to tell me it was because I used a register reward to pay for it but I knew that was incorrect. I decided to just keep the toothbrush even though it did not produce a register reward and my last transactions would be off. The cashier seems so mad about life all the time so I didn't want to contribute to her attitude any more than I had already. My OOP was .45 but again no register reward.
When I got home and looked over my ad again and noticed that it should have been the Colgate Pro Sensitive 360 toothbrush and that is why the register reward did not print.. Make sure you always read the ad carefully and pick up the correct items or the you will have the same issue.

T6: 1 Dial body wash priced at 3.99 and 1 folder. I did not need the folder but my original list with my transaction breakdown had a folder for this transaction and me being flustered didn't make the mental adjustment (do not let the cashiers set the mood.. couponing is not doing anything wrong but saving money). My OOP was 4.45 because I had no coupons or register rewards but I got back 3 in register rewards for the dial.

I originally was going to get 2 degree deodorants as well but did not want to up my OOP any higher and the deal was only good had everything else worked. So I had to figure out an alternate T7.

T7: 2 newspapers priced at 1.25 each and a snicker bar (to bring total to the amount of the register reward) .69. By this time there are customers huffing and puffing behind me and the mood is very ill. I was at Walgreens at 8 am and all alone in the store when I started my transactions. Couponers are looked down upon and honestly if everyone knew how to do it, then everyone would do it.  My OOP for this transcation was .41.

CVS:
I always end my couponing haul at CVS. The atmosphere is just so pleasant and I need to be in a happy place after leaving Walgreens.  This week I did the gas deal again so that was fun too...

T1: 1 Revlon colorburst Lip Gloss. This was on sale for 6.99 I did not have any coupons ( I used the only Revlon coupons I had on nail polish last week) but I used my 5 ECB that I walked in the store with on this transaction. My OOP for this transaction was 2.48 and I received a 5 ECB for purchasing the revlon.

T2: 3 Soft Soaps.. 2 hand soaps and 1 bodywash. They are on sale 3 for 9, I used my 5 ECB from the Revlon and my OOP was 4.63 for the three soaps. Not the best deal but I have been trying to stock up on body wash and hand soaps ( I was completely out of both) so for my situation it was an ok deal. I received a 3 ECB for purchasing the soft soap.

T3: Was the gas deal. In order to receive a 10 gas card you must purchase 30 in participating products for the week. This was a great week as far as my household goes because I purchased a lot of things we love. I got 4 boxes of honey nut cheerios, 2 Canada dry ginger ales, 3 Sunkist orange sodas, 2 crest toothpaste, and 2 Folgers instant coffees. I used two coupons for .75 off for the toothpaste and the 3 ECB I had from the soft soap deal. My OOP was 26.15 and I received a 10 gas card to shell.

So today I purchased 138.66 worth of product and only paid 42.72 OOP... This is a savings of 95.94 or 69%... Great week if you ask me.. I hope everyone is getting some great deals this week and as always HAPPY COUPONING

(I will re post this with a link to my you tube video when I have a chance to upload it)
